I dream of ...

diabetes. Anyone else do this? Once I dreampt that music came in regular and sugar free varities and I could only listen to diet music. This pissed me off because I love listening to music and all my favorite songs became out of the question.

But I just had that dream once. I do have a recurring dream though, that my two best friends have diabetes and I don't. It's an odd dream. And it's always the same. It's especially odd because in the dream I don't have any of the knowledge about diabetes I have as a result of having diabetes either.

Am I the only weirdo that actually dreams about it?

No. I dream about it too!

I rememeber just before I started pumping I kept having this dream that my best friend was diagnosed with diabetes and got put on a pump almost straight away, and before I got mine. This pissed me off, because I'd wanted to start pumping for a long time before I got the chance.

I think it is natural that diabetes seeps into dreams. After all, it takes up a considerable amount of conscious thought, so why not unconcious thought as well?

No, I definitely dream about diabetes. I remember just a couple nights ago I was having a dream where my blood sugar was really high and my dad was getting mad at me! I've also had dreams where I go low... and sometimes I wake up low. Hm. Wonder if my body is trying to tell me something.

I've had both of those dreams! Well, not the one with my dad yelling at me, but I have dreampt I was low and woke up low. I've also had other super weird dreams while low, like that puzzle pieces were attacking me, and one where I was in a room with a bunch of merry go rounds that were spinning different colors and I had to find the right color combo to get home and eat. Actually, it didn't even make that much since. I also dreampt that my friend got a pump before me.

I don't have any dreams of diabetes that I am aware of. I reserve most of my dreams for work-related topics, which in my mind is a complete frustration and waste of time!

I do, however, talk and my sleep and have even been known to sit up. Have you ever taken your bg while dreaming??

Oh, yeah. Beautiful diabetes nightmares...
I usually dream, A. My brother is having a hypo seizure(and I'm the only one who knows what to do), in real life he doesn't have D.
or B. My pump goes on overdrive and gives me 300 units.
Both make me wake up in a dead sweat.
Probably means I'm thinking about D too much@
