Questioning

Dear Medco-
Do you not realize I am dependant on your for my meds? It's insulin, I know it's expensive, but it's not like I want to use it either. It's insulin, something your pancreas probably (I'm not going to make assumptions here) makes the correct amount of daily without you giving it a second thought. It's insulin, and I need it damn it, please ship it already. And my test strips too. So I am not just randomly guessing amounts to take.

Dear Dr. Endo-
In the future, will you please so kindly spell out how much insulin to give me to Medco, so we can avoid this. I know you realize I wear a pump. And I know you realize that means I don't have set doses, or use the same amount everyday, but please, just make something up so they will ship me my insulin!

Dear Ms. P
Why, oh why does your assignment call for 2 4x6 index cards and 2 5x8 index cards? This means I have to go buy 2 packs of cards so I can use 2 cards out of each. Why couldn't I just buy 1 pack of 5x8 and use 4 cards out of it?

Dear OC Members-
Why aren't you commenting? Do you still read? My comments section is getting lonely.

I read. I finally started using bloglines, so I read every time you post something new. I'm just up to my eyeballs in babies right now, so I don't always have time to comment.

I read too. And I'm fighting Medco battles also. However, my endo "gets it" and is good at writing scripts. However, my sleep doctor isn't.

I've also never understood analness in instructors. I am an instructor, but have learned over the years, that my students don't have any money so I never push things.

And if I really want a student to do something, I provide it.

Yay! Thanks for the comments, it's great to hear from everyone again.

Julia- yeah, I just read your blog today. Sounds like you are busy, and tired. Please get some rest!

Kath- thank you for not being an anal teacher! Good luck dealing with Medco. My status on my strips and insulin finally changed to sent. Whew.

George- thanks for the comment, and congrats again on one week!

PS- Kath, do you have a blog? I can't see your profile, and I don't recognize your name. If you have a blog, let me know and I will add you to my list.

I'm here!

I just waged the same fight with express(ha!)scripts and my endo's office.

I finally received my damn infusion sites, two days before I was going to be flat out of them.

Dear This is My Life,

Buy the 5X8 cards and cut two of them to 4X8 size.

I like to make a list (usually several pages long...haha, sometimes anyhow) that I take with me to my endo office. I then hold my endo hostage for several hours as I go through the list.....On the list is always prescriptions I need refilled, and the EXACT format they need to be written in for mail order RX company.....I even provide her with a sample....

I'm not sure why the blog doesn't show, but I'm at http://www.kweaver.org -- kath is short for Kathleen

Sarah-

Yeah, I did that at the last appointment too and found it very effective, but honestly, I did not expect this problem!

Kath-

I have been reading your blog, I just didn't "recognize" you. I read about all your Medco problems too...gerrr. I even linked your rant in my original medco rant.
